Monica Mohnot (b.1982) is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in India. She moved to the United States at the age of 20 upon marriage. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University in 2019 and is currently residing in Chicago, IL to pursue her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she is the recipient of the New Artist Society Merit Scholarship.
Her current work reflects upon the accumulated experiences of a being over the passage of time, which makes the whole magnificent and cosmic. Mohnot intuitively creates works through layered processes of accumulation, repetition, and erasure.
