Based on Concepts of Taoism, my work focuses on exploring nature and human in four aspects: Time and Space, people’s presence in time and space, inaction vs action, the nature of all matters, the interaction between two things. I made rice paper installations with a hole cut in the middle, and let traditional ink to drip several seconds per drop Since it is a slow process, people won’t be able to see any changes after a long duration Finally, all edges of the paper become black, reaching an ultimate balance. Since it is changing from the first day to last day, no one will see the whole process, we can only perceive one transect of time/history, however, the drops, just like our our decisions, subtly change our life without notice. And the process is irreversible, just as the nature has its own way, not meant to be disturbed.
