Sound and place have always been intrinsically linked in my mind. Observational tools like sound mapping and soundwalking have been formative as a means of honing my listening skills, understanding complex sonic relationships in built and natural environments and as a way to help others re-connect with their soundscape. Urban history is an ongoing obsession and provides much inspiration for creating. Recent installations involve ambient light and sound abstractions heightened from their every day origins and the imagined sonic memories of antique car horns.
