Carly Zufelt is an interdisciplinary artist from Tucson, AZ. Her work is primarily concerned with exploring how time is “felt” differently in various physical and emotional contexts. Mourning the deeply felt loss of a close loved one has prompted her exploration of time- time of the living (the embodied), time of the dead (the disembodied), time as non-linear, time as a question. Her temporal research and experimentation explores the application of scientific theories on time to the context of mourning, wherein theories relating to space-time and the nature of the cosmos are conflated with her own experience of loss.
