Brad’s six years at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago have been largely concerned with examining “the strange place of religion in contemporary art.” He co-directed Autumn Space, a local church-sponsored alternative art space, before beginning graduate studies at the school. His studio practice focuses on the inscrutable relationship between text and image: a wellspring of both sacred and secular mythologies.
