Austin Evans Eighmey is an artist and preservationist situated in Chicago. His work is cross-disciplinary, combining sequential image storytelling with the archival research that is typical to the historic preservation field. The artist makes use of the graphic novel medium as an advocacy tool, inspiring readers to think critically about architectural history and its cultural significance.

Through his narrative BUILT WORLD, Eighmey aims to relate the recent past to traditional landmarks, inspire local involvement through art advocacy, and to create a connection between citizen and city.
