“Thirty three conversations and seven essays comprise this year’s fifth anniversary release of emerge. Our editorial goal remains exploratory and pedagogical—to foster interconnected discourse on artistic practice, arts administration, and arts education, and to create a dynamic space of exchange.
A new element to emerge this year has been to publish in English and multilingually. We are immensely proud, as this masthead of graduate students has done nearly all the interview translations themselves, making our content available in nine different languages to reflect many of the primary working-languages of our team and community. Thus, emerge has also become an opportunity to practice broad and essential communication skills.”
