Chicago native Sadie Woods earned her BA in music at Columbia College, later receiving an International Curatorial Certificate from Ecole du Magasin (France) and Visual Arts Certificate from the University of Chicago Graham School. Woods has performed nationally and internationally as a deejay for cultural institutions and tastemakers, including: 3Arts, 6018North at EXPO, Alliance of Artist Communities, Audience Architects, Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago Humanities Festival, Chicago Public Art group, the City of Chicago, Free Street Theater, Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, Magasin-CNAC, Make Music Chicago, Marwen, Museum of Contemporary Art, National Museum of Mexican Art, Ragdale Foundation, Rebuild Foundation, Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, and the School of the Art Institute. Residencies include the Hyde Park Art Center Program and HATCH Projects. Woods works as a Graduate Curatorial Assistant in the Exhibitions and Exhibition Studies department and is an MFA candidate (2016) in the Sound department at SAIC.
