I try to deal with an obsession that I call “trivial ritual”. In each of her works, I show a history and memory of her life in short performances. The artist’s obsessive habits became her own protective ‘device’ to escape from anxiety. Considering their role as a defence mechanism, these obsessions act like their own religious rituals hence the term ‘Trivial Ritual’. I relay the message that these obsessive behaviors associated with a small minority of “weirdoes” is, in fact, a reality, in everyone’s lives.
