Elizabeth Cupich grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and graduated with a BFA from the University of New Mexico. Prior to attending SAIC, she lived in New Orleans, Louisiana. Elizabeth combines fictional advertisements, magazines, and other print media with images from American art of the 19th and 20th century, producing a comedic, worshipful, and disturbing portrait of American culture.
