In our life, we meet new people every day and form new relationships. But we always end up feeling loneliness in spite of all the relationships we have. Until now I have mainly dealt with themes related to human relationships such as communication, misunderstanding, hurt and tension. The purpose of my work has been to help people recognize themselves living in non-communicative society. Now, I plan to deal with the overall theme of human relationships, and more specifically the theme of people’s lonely and solitary life. In the future, I will continue to pose through my works the question: “how are we to maintain meaningful relationships?”

Sometimes, I have experienced mental traumas from humans. Although invisible, the traumas clearly exist. They are healed with time, but they soon lead to self-defense and change personality and character. We try to hide and cover those traumas that we would not like exposed to others. However, the bitterness cannot disappear, cannot be covered, and eventually shows. Such emotions of traumas and bitterness are expressed by installation in my early period.

Numerous misunderstandings and distrusts exist within the diversity of interests and the competitive social structure. Also, there are so many people who lead egotistical lives in the competitive and calculating society, hiding their inner sincere hearts from each other, not trying to share with others, and maintaining only superficial relations. I think that it is due to people’s defense mechanisms that they are imprisoned in their own lonely worlds and live on with misunderstandings and traumas.

Because we are individual beings that cannot understand each other perfectly, we should seek a new change to communicate with others, and thereby find a solution for forming meaningful relationships.
