Critical issues of society, racial strife and divide have begun to manifest itself as part of my art practice. From the female figure in its various modalities a broader scope has emerged to address societal issues. Through the use of various elements – paint, clay, wood and metal, provides a visual platform for my sculptures and paintings that I hope stir our conscience, change thinking and start conversations towards a more humane, understanding and accepting world.

For the past few years I’ve transitioned from painting to clay creating stylized forms. Recently, incorporating interpretative expressive with stylized realism has given more depth to my artistic practice.

I want my work to be my voice, to impact and move my audience to bring a smile, tears, joy and even for some-change; not only for now, but for perpetuity.
