Dubbing Station

  • Location: MacLean, 8th floor (opposite elevators)
  • Access: General 
  • Training Materials: Dub Station Guide
  • Description: Blu-ray and VCR players; touch-screen controls; Capture media into a digital video file onto a USB or external hard drive; can connect media devices including the 16mm Transfer Unit
  • Comments: The Dub Station is available on a first-come-first-service basis; no reservation required

Documentation Space, Sharp

  • Location: Sharp, Rm 336
  • Access: General
  • Training Materials: Must complete this form before reserving
  • Description: Suitable for documenting artwork
  • Comments: Must reserve Patron Portal via Room Reservations; no certification required

Whisper Room

  • Location: MacLean, Rm 418 or 419
  • Access: General
  • Training Materials: Must complete this form before reserving
  • Description: A small soundproof recording booth for professional quality vocal/instrumental recording. Included in the booth is a microphone stand and a microphone pop filter. Reserve a microphone and recording device separately from the Media Center.
  • Comments: Must reserve in Patron Portal via Room Reservations; no certification required

Digital Editing Lab

  • Location: MacLean, Rm 819
  • Access: Media Center Certification Required
  • Training Materials: Get certified through the Canvas course
  • Description: Advanced computer lab; includes Wacom Cintiq Tablets
  • Comments: Must reserve in Patron Portal via Room Reservations

Documentation Space, 280 Building

  • Location: 280 Building, Rm 110
  • Access: Media Center Certification Required 
  • Training Materials: Get certified through the Canvas course
  • Description: Designed for documenting artwork; Space includes black, white & gray seamless backdrops, sandbags, apple boxes, and C-stands; Certification includes access to the space as well as a dedicated light kit available to be used in the space.
