Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:
Looped is about the synergetic relationship between physical and virtual objects and the future of new media work. It combines FVNMA work along with sculptural features to create an immersive and interactive environment. The gallery space will be transformed from a traditional white cube into a environment lit solely by the artwork itself. While this group of artists work is diverse ways, they all share the ambition of building constructed realities, whether that be executed through games, neon, 3D animations, sculpture or film.

SITE Galleries is now accepting projection-based artwork for a one-night programming event as an extension of the “Looped” exhibition in the Columbus SITE Gallery. Artists are invited to bring their own projectors and showcase their time-based artwork throughout the Columbus building and pit. The one-night exhibition will be held this Fall in the Columbus Building on October 11th, 2019.
Show will run 5:00pm-7:00pm. Artist check-in and install begins at 4:15 pm.
