Marketing and Communications Director:

The Marketing & Communications Director implements strategies to advance SITE’s on-campus presence and the visibility of its exhibitions and programming. The role maintains a cohesive brand identity across all design and text materials and is in charge of all steps in the production schedule of SITE’s materials. This is a creative position that requires strong organizational skills and a vision for the best way to attract a committed audience of students, faculty, and staff to SITE.

Desirable candidates will prioritize the needs of the gallery and will bring an eagerness and curiosity to the practice of exhibition-making overall, as well as to the development of SITE as an organization. These roles require a considerable amount of time, consistent attention, and sensitivity to many competing needs.

Time commitment for SITE Directors

All gallery functions and decisions are led by the 6 SITE Gallery Directors. Given the ambitious nature of each exhibition season, and the responsibilities that come with highly visible galleries in the SAIC community, we are looking for students that can make a significant time commitment to the organization. The maximum number of hours a director is expected to work is 15 per week, and a minimum of 10 per week during the Fall and Spring semesters. 

• 5-10 hours per week, $17.60/hr (Summer 2026)
• 10-15 hours per week, $17.60/hr (Fall 2026 & Spring 2027)
• 5-10 hours per week, $17.60/hr (Winter 2026/2027)

Applicant must be available for in-person commitments for this 2026 Summer work term and ready to start by as soon as possible or by the end of June/beginning of July. Hours will vary from 5-10 hours depending on the workload each week.
