Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the INCUBATOR Archives:

“Hinterlands” is what remains of an untraceable memory; the space between what we know to be true and what we have forgotten. Redacted faces, cropped landscapes and misty figures tell us something we can’t entirely make sense of. Familial mythologies are reconstructed thread by thread, speaking to the legacies of revered elders who can’t be met, but won’t be forgotten.
