Vacuums adapted to tasks for–and were domesticated by–humans. Each vacuum lives a life directed by human touch: between interactions with us, they are tucked away in closets and corners of houses worldwide. As autonomous vacuums become common companions, manual vacuums of the past are touch-deprived and hunger for human interaction. The Vacuum Sanctuary offers a safe home for neglected vacuums.
