Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:
Using a personal computer as her sketchpad, Aubuchon creates whimsical, arte naif imagery in vibrant colors and angular lines that reflect light-hearted observations of American life. The enamel painting and murals based on the sketches stand at the crossroads of fine art and disposable technology, illustrating the relationship between tradition and contemporary culture.
