Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

The narrative is explored in various, from the single image to more elaborate constructions that incorporate sound, image and sculpture. This exhibit showcases a body of work that encompasses Mariano Chavez’s last three years of narrative development. Different perspectives are constructed as the artist challenges the traditional role of the narrative as well as reinventing new ways of telling a story.
