Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

The (Un)read Image is an exhibition that explores the difference between looking at a work of art and reading a work of art. The artist’s need to combine text with image provides a certain amount of control over the viewer. The viewer maintains the conscious choice to read or not read what is presented before them.
