Zach Meisner

Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

Zach Meisner’s (BFA 2013) clean, crisp and focused paintings engage with the viewers through direct perceptual play. A combination of bold elements, applied through line and color, and form, mingle with subtle sensory responses prompted by ocular shifts embedded within the structures of the paintings themselves. Boardering between object and surface, Meisner’s paintings are internally kinetic, unfolding as reflections of optical phenomena intrinsic to his relationship with geometry.
