Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

A collaborative project and international exchange between the Firber and Materials Studies Department of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago & The Textile Department of The Glasgow School of Art, 100% Cotton redefines the power of a universal article clothing. T-shirts created by the artists reflect critical observations on contemporary society. Contextualized in a gallery, the T-shirts transcend cultural barriers while externalizing the written word.
