Blow-up is a single thought made histrionically articulate; an ideal mental space imperfectly displaced to Gallery X. It is the marriage of two models: sincere protest and something like Tom Stoppard’s absurd, futile unit Rosenreantz and Guildenstern, The drawings, printed matter and sculptural works that comprise the installation address – in a syncopated, crcular rhythm – the redundancy and impotence of protest: Horror brings about thumb twiddling and wordplay.
