Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

Directions explores the notion of line beyond the context of two-dimensional images. Referencing materials and forms found in domestic space and urban environments, sculptures by Morgan Elder (BFA 2014) and Charles Kelman (BFA 2014) evoke associations with commonplace, utilitarian objects. Lines rendered in real space become tangible ideas that blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture.
