Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

Drawing in Life is an inaugural collaboration between the Continuing Studies Adult Program and the School’s Student Union Galleries. This exhibition features the work of three sturdents who completed the Certificate in Drawing Program this summer . The School of the Art Institute’s Division of Continuing Studies and Special Programs offers courses in the visual arts for students of all ages. The Division’s Certificate in Drawing Program is designed for the adult who wishes to learn the formal language of drawing in a supportive yet challenging fine arts community. Through a guided curriculum and regular critiques with an advisor, adult students are encouraged to cultivate personal expression.
