Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

Effervescent Condition is a new media art based exhibition that takes place concurrently at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Xugou Museum of Art in China. The exhibition parallels, juxtaposes, overlaps, and interweaves the relationships and “real-time communication” of contemporary life. By presenting the same works, at the same time, in two vastly different contexts, this exhibition reacts to the digital globalization, and creates a fluid sense of existence–a temporary community without boundaries.
