Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

While driving at night between my family home in Michigan and my home in Chicago, my attention was constantly drawn to the darkness of empty space of the side of the road. The sudden interruption of artificial light on buildings pulled their shapes from blackness. I began to romanticize the familiar. This exhibition is a glimpse of Highway 41 becomes a passageway, a reminder of things lost.
