Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

In Situ examines the artist’s studio as a reflexive subject, contrasting its functional utility with its often-romanticized popular perception. Artwork and installation-based documentation remix various environments within a single space, offering an opened-ended view of “location” in response to both material and conceptual production. Works investigate the studio as a satellite component of the artist’s practice, a venue for restaging site-specific projects, and a forum for continuous research and expreimentation.
