Exhibition Statement as Preserved in the SUGS/SITE Archives:

The self-portrait is a unique work of art, intimate and intentional – thus revealing many aspects of the artist. The image of one’s refelction can conceptually encompass desires, such as how one wants to be seen, and how one is seen by others, as well as revealing information about the individual’s psychological make-up. The work in this exhibition is both curated and juried; organized by Rebecca Frabizio.
