SAIC Receives $1 Million Gift From the Bluhm Family for New Scholarships

August 31, 2015

The Bluhm Family, a longtime supporter of SAIC, has donated $1 million to establish the Bluhm Family Scholarship Fund, which will provide need-based scholarships for graduate and undergraduate students. Neil Bluhm has served on the Board of Trustees for the Art Institute of Chicago for more than 10 years and is a member of the AIC Trustee Real Estate Committee. In addition to Neil Bluhm, several other members of the Bluhm family have strong ties to the Art Institute community, including his daughters Meredith and Leslie and daughter-in-law Amy. Amy graduated from SAIC in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentrating in Fashion Design, and now serves on the School’s Fashion Committee.
