In my work, layers of disruptive imagery pile on top of one another and peel back revealing a complicated and monstrous image. The results are garish and harsh, overwhelming yet at times very delicate. The overarching thread that connects all of my work as a visual artist and designer is the development of alternative design strategies, usually with concept of destruction and disintegration close at heart. I developed this style as an aggressive response to the idea that design should be simple and uncluttered; merely a conduit of information. Instead of this, I aim to represent a new complexity in graphic design.
