Latex printed PhotoTex will be the most durable, Inkjet printed PhotoTex can smudge/smear/scratch under handling

  • Paint wall at least 7-30 days ahead of installation

It is necessary to clean the surface before applying your print to remove dust and promote adhesion to the paint. Most newer paints have anti-scuff coatings as well as low VOC content that can prevent the adhesive from sticking if not cleaned. If the wall has been recently painted it is recommended to wait 7-30 days to allow off-gassing to occur, otherwise bubbles may result.

“Researchers at 3M have found that cleaning the wall TWICE with a mixture of 70 percent isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and 30 percent water can significantly boost adhesion for nearly any wall film applied to a painted substrate.)”
