Print Ready
The Service Bureau will not resize, crop, or alter your file in any way. All files must come in ready for print. All files are printed at their “actual size”.
Inkjet and Latex submissions should be sent with borders if you require “extra space” around your image. The Digital Storefront should not be used as a way to add or change image sizes. We will use the size of the file submitted.
None of our printers can print borderless right out of the printer, to achieve borderless prints you must submit your order with crop marks and bleed so it can be cut afterwards.
File Types
In order to guarantee that you have the best print quality possible, we ask that you save your file in one of the following file formats:
- Latex + Inkjet: TIFF, should be flattened and at the size desired for printing, no compression or LZW compression only
- Laser Printing/Binding/Cards/Kiss Cut Stickers: PDF (See Recommended PDF Export Settings page) Combine multiple like-sized PDF files into a single PDF.
Note: We do not accept Word Documents, Jpeg or AI files for printing.
Printer Resolution
It is often assumed that the higher the printer resolution, the better the prints will look. Remember, the final print quality actually involves various factors such as: how the image was captured, and processed, as well as, what printer the image was printed on, (which includes age & condition of the print heads), the version of print driver/RIP, inks, media, and the viewing distance.
- The maximum resolution that our printers reproduce is 360 PPI.
- The minimum resolution we recommend is 180 PPI (however, depending on the viewing distance and application, less resolution can work.)
- It is recommended to zoom in on your file on the computer to see the quality at 100% or 200%.
Order Submission & File Storage
The Service Bureau only accepts files via our Digital Storefront. There may be instances where you will have a file that is over our 400MB file limit. You can select Other in the upload window and simply copy and paste a Google Drive link in the Special Instructions box. Be sure to give us permission/access to your files. We do not save files in any way after your order has been completed.
Color Mode & Recommended Color Profile
-
Latex + Inkjet: RGB, Adobe RGB 1998
-
Laser Printing/Binding/Cards/Kiss Cut Stickers: CMYK, Coated Gracol 2006 (or 2013)
The Service Bureau will not color correct your file. If color accuracy is important, we highly recommend that you first print a test strip or sample page. For all laser orders, please be aware that color does shift throughout the day so your orders may appear different depending the day and time they are printed.
